Tell us a little about yourself.

I'm a non-traditional law school graduate. I joined the Navy in 1991 and served six years of active duty After active duty I attended Montana Tech University (Butte, MT) for geological and mining engineering. Throughout the years, I worked both in and out of the mining industry (hard rock and coal) all the while staying a part of the Navy through the reserves. In 2017 after a few rough years in the mining industry and another mobilization to active duty, I attended law school.

Why did you decide to go to law school? Why did you settle on the University of Wyoming for law school?

The political environment caused mining jobs to become fewer and fewer within the United States. I prayed and thought a long time about which direction was best. After another round of layoffs in the mining industry, I decided to go back to school for law.
