Stephen P. Adamson, Jr.

Wilson resident Stephen Perrow Adamson Jr. died May 19 in Idaho Falls from injuries sustained in a ski mountaineering accident on Mount Moran in the Teton Range. He was 42. His family provided the following.

Stephen was born in Richmond, Virginia, on May 6, 1973, the first of three children of Frances Shetter Adamson and Stephen Perrow Adamson. When Stephen was 7 his father died suddenly, an event that defined the way Stephen lived — as if each day were going to be his last. Four years later his mother married Frederic Scott Reed, who became a beloved father and mentor to Stephen and whose three children became his siblings.

Stephen attended Collegiate School and graduated from Gettysburg College in 1996. He attended Teton Valley Ranch Camp in Kelly as a teenager.
