Once a dad, always a dad

My son, Davis, is 25. He works in a bank in Cody. He is single with no children. He suffers from sleep apnea.

When he was 17 and in high school, one night just after 10:00,1 heard the wail of ambulance sirens. Suddenly, I was overcome with the most eerie sensation — I knew it was Davis. Within a few seconds, the phone rang. It was he. His truck was up-side-down in a barrow pit and he was hanging by a seat belt. He had fallen asleep at the wheel driving home from his girlfriends house. I could hear the fear in his voice. We rushed to the scene — about five miles away — not knowing what to expect...
