Finally, a place to turn

I walked in the door of the Wyoming State Bar in Cheyenne to visit with the Executive Director, Sharon Wilkinson and Bar Counsel, Mark Gifford, about something completely unrelated to impaired lawyers. Much to my surprise, I left the Bar office that day having agreed to run the newly-implemented Wyoming Lawyer Assistance Program (WyLAP). Their pitch was powerful. I not only learned that Wyoming was the only state without a formal program, but was also introduced to the list of lawyers Sharon and Mark had made containing the names of those who perhaps could have benefited from such a program.
