License fee statements to be mailed October 1st

Article I, Section 4(b) of the Wyoming State Bar Bylaws states, "As soon as practicable after the second week in September of each year, the executive director shall send a written statement for the annual license fee and a change of information reporting form consistent with Article I, Section 2 to each member of the State Bar..."

Beginning in 2011, the Wyoming State Bar will mail license fee statements on October 1st. When October 1st falls on a weekend (and it will this year), statements will be mailed the following Monday. This practice would still be in compliance with Article I, Section 4(b) of the Bylaws and would ensure that the Bar would not receive payment for any license fees until afterthe beginning of the fiscal year (October 1).

The license fee statement will reflect that fees are PAYABLE on October 1st to comply with the Bylaws. The Bar office would appreciate it if you would not pay your license fees prior to this date.
