Communications training consultant and author Dianna Booher builds this book around a central concept: information is not communication. Effective communication, she writes, is honest, clear, consistent and transparent, and she offers 10 strategies toward that end.

As she points out, communication is a vital element in areas as diverse as job-interviewing, keeping employees from leaving, effective customer service and managing the challenge top executives experience at times of upheaval.
