VIII. Judgment on the Award

Once an arbitration award is confirmed by the court and judgment is entered, the judgment has the same effect as a judgment in a civil action, with the added advantage of being more difficult to set aside.146 For example, a judgment entered upon an arbitration award will not be set aside where it is based on perjured testimony.
