TOO OFTEN IN OUR hectic lives we forget how our success, achievements and goals have been met, and the people and organizations that have helped along the way.

The commercial-real-estate practitioner has had the support in Indiana of the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors, governed by the constitution and bylaws of the National Association of Realtors. This organization was formed by commercial practitioners for commercial practitioners to unite those engaged in the recognized branches of the real-estate profession for the purpose of exerting a beneficial influence upon the profession and related interests.

To promote and maintain high standards of conduct in the commercial-real-estate profession, the board has a legislative committee that represents private ownership and the interests of the real-estate professional and has been instrumental in getting legislation passed that protect those interests. The board also has a professional-standards committee relating to the enforcement of the code of ethics. A technology committee ensures that the members have the highest level of technology available to serve members and their clients.

The board represents all portions of the state via district directors and an executive director based in Indianapolis. The annual convention is held in October in Indianapolis, where all continuing-education needs can be met and all classes are of a commercial content.

This organization helps all commercial property owners, developers and brokers operate with a level of integrity, education and standards that are unsurpassed in our profession. Support the organizations that support you by joining or visiting Indianacbr.com.
