MoneyMinutesTV is the name of a series of video segments designed to help banks educate customers about their products. The videos, which can be posted on the bank's Web site, can also be used to encourage adoptions of online financial services. The product was introduced recently by MindBlazer, Charlotte, N.C., which is a marketing technology company for the financial services industry.

The Cornerstone Bank, Atlanta; the Glenview State Bank, Glenview, Ill.; and the Oregon Pacific Bank, Florence, Ore., are three financial institutions that recently started using MindBlazer's complimentary video, "How Your Money is Protected," for their customers. The video explains the roles of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) in insuring personal accounts.

"We have certainly benefited from having the FDIC video on our bank's Web site," said Madeline H. Belfoure, CFMP, senior vice president of marketing and retail banking at Cornerstone Bank. "It has helped to calm the fears of our customers while presenting the information in a much more interesting and compelling manner. I also believe that the video adds to the professionalism of our site."
