Victor Zarnowitz, a long-time NBER Research Associate and a member of the NBER's Business Cycle Dating Committee, passed away on February 21 at the age of 89. At the time of his death, Zarnowitz was Senior Fellow and Economic Counselor to The Conference Board in New York, where he had worked since 1999. He also was Professor Emeritus of Economics and Finance, Graduate School of Business, The University of Chicago.
