Salt Lake City -- The Spencer S. and Cleone P. Eccles College of Health Sciences Education Building at the University of Utah has been completed under direction of VCBO ARCHITECTURE. The 156,000-square-foot space is the health sciences teaching center at the university and includes high-tech teaching spaces with support, study, interaction and office spaces.

The building's five levels include two public facilities--the medical bookstore and a cafeteria, serving both the College of Health Sciences and the wider sciences campus. The building is in the process of being LEED certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), which will make it the first building on the campus to receive this recogniztion.
