Varney Insurance Opens New York Office and Appoints Patrick Yannotta as Senior Vice President.


Varney, an insurance agency covering commercial and private clients, has announced the expansion of its US business into the New York property market with the opening of its real estate head office in Manhattan and the appointment of Patrick Yannotta as Senior Vice President in Commercial Real Estate.

Varney is a family-owned real estate insurance business covering business and personal insurance in North America. It offers highly personalised insurance coverage by designing a bespoke insurance program for each individual client. This includes in-depth analysis of lender requirements, a contractual review to offload liability and cover contractor failures and risk transfer alternatives. All Varney's claims are handled by a dedicated claims advisor.

Patrick Yannotta brings a decade of New York commercial real estate and development site sales experience to the role. During his career, Yannotta worked alongside Bob Knakal and their team closed over 400 commercial real estate transactions with an aggregate value of over $12.5 billion. Yannotta joins Varney's Senior Vice President Jack Cowie IV and Varney's real estate team in the new New York office. Cowie has over 10 years' experience of commercial real estate risk, and in the last two years has placed over $2 billion of risk for commercial real estate clients.
