Valley Hospital enters joint venture with Triad Hospitals.

The Valley Hospital Association's board has voted unanimously to proceed with a joint venture with Triad Hospital's Inc. to establish a new company. This partnership is expected to build a new hospital in a central location between Palmer and Wasilla on 25 to 40 acres.

The facility would provide access to patients from both ends of the MatSu Borough and will have 75 private rooms and will be expandable for up to 150 beds to accommodate growth. Years of strategic planning have culminated in VHA finding a capital partner for building a centrally located hospital for borough residents To conclude the deal, two-thirds of the VHA voting membership must approve the transfer of VHA assets to this joint-venture company.
