Koger v. Snyder, 252 F.Supp.2d 723 (C.D.Ill. 2003). A state prisoner brought an action alleging violation of his rights in connection with the search and seizure of various documents in his cell, and his subsequent transfer to a different prison. The district court held that the search of the prisoner's cell and the seizure of documents did not violate the Fourth Amendment, where the search was undertaken when homemade weapons were found in another nearby cell, and other cells in the same area of the prison were searched.
