Wicks v. Shields, 181 F.Supp.2d 423 (E.D.Pa. 2002). A prisoner sued corrections officials challenging his termination as an employee of a legal clinic, restrictions on his private use of the clinic and restrictions on his mail privileges. The district court granted summary judgment to the defendants. The prisoner had asserted that the actions were taken in retaliation for his efforts to report alleged physical abuse of other prisoners. The court found that the actions were not retaliatory.
