Espinoza v. Peterson, 283 F.3d 949 (8th Cir. 2002). A federal inmate sought judicial review of a prison disciplinary proceeding in which he lost 13 days of "good time" credit for fighting with another inmate, alleging his due process rights were violated in his disciplinary hearing. The district court denied habeas relief and the inmate appealed. The appeals court affirmed, finding that the refusal of prison authorities to disclose the identity of a confidential informant did not violate the inmate's procedural due process rights.
