Moreland v. Miami-Dade County, 255 F.Supp.2d 1304 (S.D.Fla. 2002). A former corrections officer sued the county in state court, asserting claims for alleged race discrimination in violation of state and federal laws, equal protection and due process violations, and state law claims for negligent race discrimination, negligent supervision of employees, and retaliation in violation of state law.
