Evicci v. Baker, 190 F.Supp.2d 233 (D.Mass. 2002). A prisoner brought federal civil rights and state tort actions against corrections officials alleging that he was subjected to excessive force in violation of the Eighth Amendment, and that he was denied medical care. The district court denied summary judgment for the defendants on the excessive force claims because the prisoner alleged that three officers and others engaged in a joint venture to beat him and that other officers refused to document his injuries.
