Welcome to the 14(th) annual Book of Lists. We hope you'll enjoy this go-to business guide, which provides invaluable industry-by-industry business rankings as well as hyper-local stats and economic indicators. Our goal is that you'll put these lists and data to work for your company.

As we compiled this year's Book of Lists, it became apparent that Utah's economy is steadily moving forward--much thanks to the industry-leading companies found throughout the following pages. As you examine each list, you'll find that revenues are up, hiring is increasing and deals are happening. In short, Utah's economy is headed in the right direction.

Outside of the Book of Lists, many national studies and publications are reporting the same good news--that Utah's economy is in solid shape. Many of these publications have bestowed the Beehive State with accolade after accolade. The Milken Institute, for example, recently ranked Salt Lake City as No. 5 and Provo-Orem as No. 2 on its list of Top 25 Best-Performing Large Cities. The Equality Opportunity Project ranked Salt Lake as the No. 5 city in the United States for upward mobility. And Inc. recently named Utah as the most small business-friendly state in the nation. The list of business-friendly and economic accolades goes on and on.
