I enjoyed reading the article about the USNS Seay (July 200.3, "Navy Cargo Ship, USNS Seay, Just Keeps Rolling Along" by Harold Kennedy). The Merchant Marine needs more press coverage than it usually gets, as most people have no clue about this service. We also need sustained commercial activity to provide work for the few mariners that continue to ply this industry.
