Do you ever wish you and your students could travel back in time to some pivotal moment in history? Well, you can! Every issue of Upfront includes at least one primary-source text that connects with our Times Past article to transport your students to the time and place where history was made. Primary sources capture the flavor of the period in which they were written, and they often provide compelling details that only eyewitnesses to history could know.

If you've been using our primary sources all year, you already know how valuable they are in sparking lively classroom debates. If not, now is a great time to give them a try.
