Position | Offers college-preparatory curriculum |
Choices have never been in short supply for Clint Cuffle. Having earned a 3.78 grade point average in a demanding, college-preparatory high-school curriculum, Clint was the kind of student colleges and universities clamor over and aggressively recruit ... and his accomplishments certainly didn't stop in the classroom. Clint led his Riverton (Ill.) High School basketball team to the Class A semifinals and a 29-5 record his senior year, averaging 27.8 points and 12.9 rebounds. Of course, college coaches were equally aggressive in recruiting this young man whose career goal is to become a civil engineer. Clint Cuffle did have many choices, and he chose the University of Evansville--its ABET-accredited College of Engineering and Computer Science and its NCAA Division I Purple Aces!
"Clint Cuffle is an extraordinary individual. He is as thorough and prepared for his academic demands as he is for me on the court. Basketball games are won because of players like Clint, still, he has his priorities in order. If ever there was a true definition of the whole student-athlete, that definition is Clint Cuffle."
--Steve Merfeld, head basketball coach
University of Evansville
"What I admire most about Clint Cuffle are his work ethic, his time-management skills and his attitude. Despite the time demands of basketball, he rarely misses class and always completes his work, usually ahead of time. He has managed to play Division I basketball and perform at a very high level in the classroom--a real testament to his ability.
