Gov. Frank H. Murkowski named Carl Marrs of Anchorage, Bob Martin of Juneau and Jeff Staser of Anchorage to the University of Alaska board of regents. Marrs and Martin were appointed effective Feb. 1 to terms expiring in 2013. Staser is appointed to fill the seat vacated by the resignation of Kevin Meyers (ConocoPhillips), not to be confused with Rep. Kevin Meyer. Staser's term expires in 2007. The appointments are subject to legislative confirmation.
