The University of Alaska Corporate Programs (UACP) offers the timely and systematic acquisition of new knowledge and skills within a flexible and accessible university environment. UACP is a knowledge-management program designed to meet the ever-changing challenges of training, re-training and updating the skill sets of Alaska's work force.

This is accomplished at Alaska's Corporate Programs via the University of Alaska's multi-campus system of lifelong learning, tailored to the needs of today's business and industry.

Three primary goals describe UA Corporate Programs:

* UACP has become an innovative learning alliance between business/industry and the University of Alaska, bringing together work force training and higher education programs to benefit Alaskans in developing the skills, knowledge and competencies to be successful;

* UACP is the strategic umbrella or single point of contact through which any organization or business entity can access all of the resources that exist within the university system;

* UACP facilitates the creation of new programs and courses customized to a business organization's educational and training requirements and business objectives.

Joyce Helens, a nationally recognized speaker and trainer, is Executive Director of UA Corporate Programs, founded in 1999. With 25-years experience in building successful partnerships among higher education, business, government and community, she has developed UA Corporate Programs to function as a corporate university. UACP, existing within the University of Alaska academic university, is specifically designed to respond to the training and educational needs of business and industry in Alaska.
