Shabazz v. Cole, 69 F.Supp.2d 177 (D.Mass. 1999). An inmate who worked in a prison library sued the prison librarian and the prison superintendent challenging his treatment by the librarian and the propriety of a disciplinary proceeding. The district court held that there was no procedural due process violation regarding the inmate's loss of library privileges for one week, exclusive of privileges to the law library. The court also found that the inmate failed to state a claim regarding his alleged constructive discharge from his library job.
