U of M proposes to sell park land to Falcon Heights.

The University of Minnesota is proposing to sell the Falcon Heights Community Park to the city of Falcon Heights for $1.1 million, a deal that could make it easier for the city to obtain grants to repair a building on the site.

The proposed sale of the 15.6-acre property at 2050 Parklawn Ave. W. in Falcon Heights is going before the Board of Regents' Finance and Operations Committee Thursday. The property is at the corner of Cleveland Avenue and Roselawn Avenue.

Docket materials for the committee meeting note that the city has leased the land from the university for $1 per acre. The lease expires at the end of 2024.
