The U.K. Parliament has launched a pilot project to make 200 years of Parliament proceedings available online, according to European ePractice Newsletter.

The U.K. Parliament is planning to make all the official Hansard Parliament reports from 1804 to 2004 available online by the end of the year. Optical character recognition technology will be used to digitize three million printed pages.

Some of this text is already accessible online at http://hansard.millbanksystems.com, although the project has not yet been officially approved as a version of Hansard.
