U.K. government website wins Design of the Year award.

Gov.UK, which combines all of the British government's websites into a single domain, won the overall prize in the prestigious Design Museum Design of the Year award for 2013. (Last year's winner was the London 2012 Olympic Torch.) The jury unanimously agreed that the site, designed by the U.K. Government Digital Service, has a well-thought-out yet understated design, making the user experience simpler, clearer, and faster, and is one of the leading government websites in the world.
