TWO PROMINENT FORMER WASHINGTON LAWMAKERS died the same weekend. Senator Lorraine Wojahn (D), former president pro tem, nicknamed the "Norse Goddess of Terror," died of congestive heart failure at 92. She served in the Legislature for 32 years. When she was first elected to the House in 1969, she was one of only seven women. She helped create the state Department of Health, the Washington State History Museum and the University of Washington Tacoma campus, and was a strong supporter of the Equal Rights Amendment.
