Throughout the baseball postseason, Fox has been adding sound effects to make otherwise silent replays pop with the audio of bats hitting balls. The sound effects seem artificial. All other natural sound has been stripped out. The crowd has been muted. Then come these little sounds from nowhere, appearing to mimic the real thing. A Fox Sports spokesman says they are all real.
