Mount Olive-based Carolina Turkeys bought the Butterball brand from Omaha, Neb.-based ConAgra Foods for $325 million and changed its name to Butterball LLC. The deal created the nation's largest producer of turkeys; Carolina Turkeys had ranked fourth.
