There are a couple of reasons for our community banks to have a presence on LinkedIn ...

  1. We experience a lot of confusion over our banks' names; there are quite a few "Farmers" and "Citizens" in Kentucky and "United's" in the country. When our employees complete their profiles on LinkedIn, we want to make sure we have a company page so that it can link. You can imagine the dismay when you see one of your loan officers working for a "Citizens Bank" in ... North Carolina

    because that's me one LinkdIn autofilled for them.

  2. We find Linkedln a good social media for our trust and/or investment departments. With LinkedIn's focus on professionalism, talking about trust on LinkedIn is a better fit than discussing trust services on Facebook.
