Before the American Health Care Act became the victim of Republican squabbling, the average health-insurance premium was estimated to rise 15% to 20% in the next two years (and Federal tax credits were expected to decrease). The personal-finance website WblletHub conducted an analysis of 2017's cities that would have been most affected by TrumpCare.

To gauge the impact of the Republican-proposed health plan on people who buy their own insurance, analysts compared 457 U.S. cities based on the differences in premium subsidies that the average household would receive under ObamaCare and TrumpCare.

The 10 cities that would have been most affected are Yuma, Ariz.; Anchorage, Alaska; Syracuse, N.Y.; Reading, Pa.; Chattanooga, Tenn.; Greenville, N.C.; Fayetteville, N.C.; Birmingham, Ala.; Wichita Falls, Texas; and Ashville, N.C.
