I had been waiting for someone to write a tribute to Phil Berrigan, and Howard Zinn certainly did an excellent job ("A Holy Outlaw," February issue).

I never met Phil, but I have been inspired by his work for decades. When he burned the draft records in Catonsville, I seriously considered doing something similar at my local board, but lacked the courage. I settled for doing draft counseling and attending demonstrations.
