I would be honored if the reporter Mike Ervin would visit one of our safe and clean programs for people with severe developmental disabilities ("Exploiting the 'Handicap Wage,'" March issue).

While the Iowa turkey report is a tragedy, it is also an anomaly. Leaving the impression that developmentally disabled people are always taken advantage of is a disservice to thousands of hardworking human service providers and their dedicated staff throughout the nation.
