The New Mexico Department of Game
and Fish is accepting proposals for
Endangered Species Legal Services
The Departm ent is accepting proposa ls (RFP #15-516-
2101-000 01) from qualif‌ied lawyers a nd law f‌irms to
provide professional leg al services, spe cif‌ically in the
role as endangered spe cies counsel, in mat ters per-
taining to endange red species law. The Depar tment
seeks a lawyer or law f‌ir m with substant ial background
with Endangered S pecies Act (E SA) issues; Co mment-
ing on Federal Rules pe rtaining to t he ESA; and oth er
issues related to c andidate, threate ned, or endangered
species. The selec ted Offeror/ s would be expecte d to
provide specialized non -litigation and li tigation exper-
tise and have the requisite ab ility to perfo rm assign-
ments and act as Dep artment coun sel in connection
with complex contr actual and tr ansactional mat ters;
the ESA; and re lated laws and regulatio ns pertaining
to candidate, t hreatened or endange red species. To
