Thank you for reminding ColoradoBiz readers that the Gallagher amendment has been a contributing factor in Colorado's fiscal problems (On Colorado, Schwab, September).

As a result of the interaction of Gallagher and TABOR, virtually all of the growth in the market value of real property in Colorado over the last two decades escaped contributing to maintaining our K-12 schools.
