Ian Gallacher, Bruce R. Parker and Donald L. DeVries, all of the Baltimore firm of Goodell, DeVries, Leech & Gray, LLP, have won the Yancey Memorial Award for the best article published in Defense Counsel Journal during 1997. The award was announced at the IADC 1998 annual meeting at the Sheraton-Grande Torrey Pines Hotel in La Jolla, California.
The winning article, "Back to the Future? Product Liability Class Actions and Proposed Rule 23 Changes," appeared in the April 1997 issue of Defense Counsel Journal, page 195.
