Thank you for the article "My Life on Death Row" (by Wilbert Rideau, April issue). No, I don't want Rideau to die. I do believe he has become better than the worst thing he's ever done. Are any of us the same person we were ten or twenty years ago?

I've worked mindless factory jobs twenty days in a row before I got a day off. Eat, sleep, work. Bitter, yes I was. I learned to overcome it the same way as Rideau...
