We recently were gifted--it's true, Father's Day came early for us this year--with a beautiful new set of irons. Trouble is, this makes some of our other golfing utensils look a bit shop worn. What's a duffer to do? That's easy--we treated ourselves to some of the season's best golf gear from TaylorMade, Carlsbad, Calif.

For starters, we went with the Pure-Lite 2.0 Stand Bag, the company's lightest full size, that helps you "walk lighter, walk longer, and perform at your best." The fit and support delivered by Pure-Lite is a revelation--and isn't it amazing how a bag can affect your score? The Pure-Lite has a six-way top with an integrated handle, seven total pockets (including one for valuables with an internal keyring clip), insulated beverage sleeve pocket, ventilated ergonomic shoulder straps, full-length dividers, integrated bottom trunk handle, and three FAS-TEK receivers--and it all weighs less than five pounds.

Now, while we did get new irons, the golf gods left the selection of drivers, putters, and balls to us. The choices were simple: the TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver, as well as its Corza Ghost Putter, quickly got both our long and short game in good working order.
