Susan Schmidt Bies and John F. Ruffle have been named to the 2008 Financial Executives International Hall of Fame. They will be honored for their achievements and contributions as financial leaders when they are inducted at a black-tie event on Nov. 17, at the New York Stock Exchange. The gala will benefit the Financial Executives Research Foundation.

Bies is a former member of the Federal Reserve's Board of Governors and led the Subcommittee on Substantive Complexity of the U.S. Security and Exchange Commission's Advisory Committee on Improvements to Financial Reporting. She also serves on the boards of Zurich Financial Services and Zurich Insurance Co.

Ruffle is a former vice chairman of JPMorgan & Co. and Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. He currently serves as a director of several JPMorgan mutual funds as well as other investment funds managed by the firm. Ruffle is also a director of American Shared Hospital Services Inc. and an emeritus trustee of John Hopkins University's board of trustees.
