With the average holiday spending in 2018 expected to reach more than $1,000, an increase of 4.1% over 2017, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its Holiday Budgets by City report, utilizing several key metrics--such as income, age, and savings-to-monthly expenses ratio--to estimate the maximum spending amounts for consumers in each of 570 U.S. cities.
