Dear Ruth: I winced at your hopefulness for Paul Ryan challenger Randy Bryce ("Comment," August/September issue). He is not the kind of candidate Democrats should be offering to voters. Yes, he's a vet, labor activist, and all that, but where's the record of his success as a local officeholder? He's run before and lost.
