I'm going nuts! Everyone is talking about money in politics, and, as much as I would like to see a constitutional amendment stating that corporations are not people, I submit that the American people are the problem, not the money or the corporations.

In the April Editor's Note, Matthew Rothschild writes, "The Presidential race this year has already turned into a game of the obscenely rich."

In the April Comment, "We, the People," authors Meher Ahmad and Elizabeth DiNovella write, "If you haven't already been swamped by a barrage of negative campaign ads, prepare yourself." (Well, no, I have chosen not to watch any.) Ahmad and DiNovella ask, "How to address all the money in politics?" They answer with three ways, none of which get to the root of the problem.

Then Ruth Conniff, in her column "Feingold vs. Obama," goes on to discuss "campaign cash" and states, "The distorting...
