Section 63. The next step in brief-writing.—I shall assume, at this point, that your basic research has been completed, and that you have made useful notes covering your materials.

I will not undertake to make suggestions for note-taking; that is a matter which depends entirely on individual habits and temperament. The standards that follow, however, are universally applicable.
