In his last President's Page, Bruce Parker had approximately one month remaining in his term. As I write this, my first President's Page, it seems hard to believe that almost two months of my term have elapsed. In his column, Bruce recounted the number of successes enjoyed by the IADC during his term. He commented on the commitment to excellence exhibited by all those members and staff who made those successes possible.

Further evidence of the IADC commitment to each of you, its members, can be seen by a review of projects and programs scheduled for this upcoming year. Some of those programs include a continuation of the skills workshops at future meetings teaching us how to work with PowerPoint and Trial Director. We plan to continue our in-house training programs, not only in employment law, but also in dealing with e-discovery issues.

To address new areas of interest by our members, we have created a new Substantive Law Committee, the White Collar Crime Committee. We continue to address diversity issues within the IADC and have expanded our...
