PositionDirectory

The Florida Bar Citizens Forum is an advisory group composed of 15 to 18 members from throughout the state who are appointed to two-year terms by the Bar president. The forum provides a vehicle for two-way communication between the state's major citizens constituencies and the Bar's Board of Governors. Its objectives are to inform and educate the public about the legal and justice systems, to serve as a feedback mechanism and a sounding board on Bar plans and programs, and to gain public understanding and support on significant legal/justice issues. Forum membership includes a chair or vice-chair, one of which is a present or former member of the Board of Governors, 12 to 15 representatives of various citizens constituencies, and two lawyers.
