In her January article "Dems Speak Up," Ruth Conniff sees the political pendulum swinging back toward the left to favor the Democrats in the upcoming 2006 elections. But even if the Democrats nominate progressive candidates and unite behind these candidates, it won't mean a thing unless we actually have fair elections.
