With the 2017 Major League Baseball season getting underway, the personal-finance website WalletHub has released its report on the Best Baseball Cities. To determine the top places to be a fan of America's national pastime, WalletHub compared the 361 largest U.S. cities with at least one college or professional baseball team across 25 key metrics, ranging from "performance level of team(s)" to "average ticket price" to "stadium accessibility."

The top 20 baseball cities, starting at No. 1, are New York; St. Louis, Mo.; Los Angeles, Calif.; Atlanta, Ga.; Boston, Mass.; Arlington, Texas; Cincinnati, Ohio; San Francisco, Calif.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Chicago, III.; Detroit, Mich.; Oakland, Calif.; Kansas City, Mo.; Cleveland, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minn.; St. Petersburg, Fla.; Baltimore, Md.; Milwaukee, Wis.; Seattle, Wash.; and Philadelphia, Pa.
