The special anti-Semitism issue of Moment lends credence to the old joke that anti-Semitism would not become profitable until it gets managed by a Jew. It has indeed spawned a thriving branch ofJewish industry and politics.
Without constant reminders in the press and in emails, our ego-tripping academics, headline-hunting journalists, fund-raising Zionists and sermonizing rabbis would be deprived of much of their livelihood, perhaps of their entire raison d'etre. Anti-Semites can rejoice at the generous publicity.
